faculty admission requirements

  • The student must hold a high school diploma (science track) or its equivalent

  • Students are nominated for the faculty  annually by the University and Higher Institutes Admissions Coordination Office based on their scores, which are determined by the office.

Required documents for application:

  • Nomination card
  •  Original high school graduation certificate + 4 copies
  • Original computerized birth certificate + 4 copies
  • passport-size photos (4×6 cm)
  •  Military service card (Form 6) for male students born in 1997 and earlier
  •  Military service card (Form 2) for male students
  • Application form from the Student Affairs Department
  •  Letter of introduction from the Student Affairs Department
  • Plastic file folder

How to obtain your student ID:

1. Complete the medical examination for the preparatory year student.

2. Obtain a payment authorization from the Student Affairs office.

3.Pay the required fees at the college treasury and obtain a payment receipt

4.Submit a copy of the payment receipt along with a personal photo to the Student Affairs office.

5.Receive your student ID card within one week

Student Housing

University Residences (On-campus and Off-campus)

The university provides accommodation in university dormitories for students residing at least 25 kilometers from the Sohag. This accommodation includes specific admission criteria, such as

  • New students are accepted into university dormitories based on age, with priority given to younger students and those residing within 25 kilometers of Sohag city, after submitting a copy of their birth certificate or official extract and a copy of their national ID card
  • Old students and residents of university dormitories and external housing who have obtained a good grade at least are accepted. Disabled students are also accepted based on a certificate approved by the General Administration of Medical Affairs. They are distributed after the approval of the housing form by the faculty to which the student belongs or according to the housing of the previous year
  • Students with a good overall grade or higher from outside university cities are accepted
  • Students with social circumstances are accepted according to available places, and admission will open after the second phase of new students has been accommodated

All new female students are accepted into university dormitories, provided they live at least 25 kilometers from Sohag city.

Summer training

The summer training aims to introduce students to the practical environment of the pharmacy profession, and it also provides an opportunity for pharmaceutical sector institutions to learn about the students’ potential and skills Summer Training Rules: 1- Summer training is a prerequisite for obtaining a Bachelor’s degree. 2-The duration of summer training is 300 practical hours, and the training must take place in pharmaceutical institutions or pharmaceutical factories designated by the college council 3- Summer training takes place during the summer break preceding the final year and is supervised by a specialized faculty member.

Rewards and prizes for outstanding students

  1. New students from the Arab Republic of Egypt whose ranking in the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination does not exceed thirty in the Science Division shall be granted a reward of one hundred and twenty pounds annually for each of them
  2. New students from the Arab Republic of Egypt who obtain at least 80% in the overall grade of the secondary school certificate examination are granted a reward of eighty-four pounds annually
  3. The bonus mentioned in the two previous paragraphs will continue to be paid to students who receive it in the mentioned categories if the student obtains a very good overall grade in the transfer exam. Anyone who obtains an excellent overall grade in the transfer exam will be granted an annual bonus of one hundred and twenty pounds. Anyone who receives a very good overall rating, other than those mentioned in the first three paragraphs, shall be given a reward of sixty pounds per year
  4. The award shall be limited to the academic year following the year in which the student obtains the aforementioned grade, and the award shall be renewed whenever its condition is met according to the previous details
  5. The reward referred to in this article shall be paid in one lump sum at the end of the academic year, and the reward referred to shall be paid in one lump sum to the student’s heirs if he dies after becoming entitled to it
  6. The previous provisions shall apply, except for what is stated in the first paragraph, to new students from the students of the Arab Republic of Egypt who have passed the General Secondary Certificate exam conducted under the supervision of the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt in any other country.
