The Center for Continuing Pharmaceutical Education at Sohag University seeks to be the leading entity in the region responsible for ensuring the professional competence of pharmacists throughout their lives.
Mission
The Pharmacy Education Program aims to establish the concepts of lifelong continuing pharmacy education. It enables yhe graduates who are interested in pharmaceutical services and healthcare to acquire the latest skills through a structured plan developed by experienced professionals.
Objectives
- Organizing training courses and attracting experienced specialists in the applied field to deliver lectures.
- Utilizing the available resources at the faculty and pharmaceutical manufacturing centers, providing comprehensive information resources, and training on the use of electronic methods for data collection.
- Meeting the needs of practitioners in the field who wish to acquire additional specialized information that will help them solve some of the problems they face.
- Training in theoretical application through case studies; developing communication skills (written and oral), enhancing the ability to write scientific reports and projects, as well as introducing the principles of good practice in workplaces and safety and security measurements.

Formation of the Board of Directors
The Center’s Board of Directors is formed by a decision of the University President for three years, as follows:
- Professor/Dean of the faculty, Chairman
- Professor/Vice Dean for Community and Environmental Affairs, Vice Chairman.
- A staff member specializing in the center’s field of work, Director of the Center.
- Three (3) staff members from faculty of Pharmacy (with experience in the center’s field of work) will serve as members.
- Two (2) administrators from or outside faculty of Pharmacy with experience in the center’s field of work will serve as members.
- The Secretary of faculty of Pharmacy will serve as a member.
Subject to compliance with the provisions of Article (311) of the Executive Regulations of the Universities Organization Law No. (49) of 1972 AD..
